We've worked with Mampi Ltd. since they were founded, and they're our go-to provider of great web hosting, so when Mampi approached us to collaborate on a bespoke hosting management system, we were delighted. Mampi Ltd. needed to ease the pressure on their administrative staff, and were looking to automate common administration tasks, and create a usable web frontend that their customers would be comfortable with.
We already had experience with Mampi's products, as we were customers ourselves, so we created a detailed project specification which addressed their business goals, along with smoothing their customer interaction. We phased development of the system over 3 months, so we could deploy and test components of the system without disruption to any of Mampi's critical business services which their customers depend on.
The application itself is written in Django and uses RabbitMQ to queue and automate administration tasks. Combined with a user-friendly frontend, this allowed Mampi's customers to easily request changes to their hosting platform. This effectively freed Mampi's administration team from the details of scheduling and coordinating changes with their clients, providing efficiency savings and improving customer satisfaction.

We were looking to automate aspects of our hosting business, effectively 'dumbing down' the process of server administration. A web based system made sense for us, allowing our server technicians to work more effectively and reducing on-site visits. Xen Manager works really well and we're looking forward to working with 84labs to add more functionality in the future.
